Surf's Up

This the Ogunquit shoreline from the Marginal Way.
The circle in the middle is actually the flash from my camera not the sun or the moon reflected. I had already framed this picture before taking the photograph.
Just Floating Around

A great crested Grebe on the Serpentine lake in Hyde Park, London, England.
This is actually painted on a piece of auto body sand paper - the finest grit available. It was an experiment to see how it would take the pastel, but I realize that it's not archival.
Cream Lily

My son and daughter in law in England wanted a picture of a cream lily to hang on their newly decorated walls so I did this one for them and took it over on my last visit.
Bell Tower Ruin

A bell tower in the village of Baux in the South of France.
So this is the high spot of my artistic career so far. After working in pastels for just three short months I entered this picture in the town art show and won second prize. It encouraged me to persevere with my new hobby.
Early Spring

These were growing in our front lawn under a tree that has since been taken down. Unfortunately the taking down of the tree resulted in the little crocus bulbs being scattered or buried so deep that they'll never see the light of day again!
