In March 2008 I made the suprising discovery that I had a little artistic talent which had been lying dormant all my life. I started with simple still life subjects but as time went on I progressed to more complex subjects.
The only medium I paint in is pastels which I love. They do tend to be messy but I love the immediacy of the work, involving no mixing with turps or water, just pure pigment directly applied and mixed right there on the paper.

Great News! I have just been informed that I won a First Prize for my Rocky Canyon picture that I entered in the Chelmsford 4th July art festival. I'm so pleased.
