In March 2008 I made the suprising discovery that I had a little artistic talent which had been lying dormant all my life. I started with simple still life subjects but as time went on I progressed to more complex subjects.
The only medium I paint in is pastels which I love. They do tend to be messy but I love the immediacy of the work, involving no mixing with turps or water, just pure pigment directly applied and mixed right there on the paper.

Fall by the River
I took this photo about a year ago when my sister and brother in law were visiting from England. We took a trip to Maine to view foliage and stopped at this spot on the way.
